Canned:

• Soup, stews, and chili
• Spaghetti sauce
• Meat (tuna and chicken)
• Vegetables (peas, corn, tomatoes)
• Fruit (Peaches, pears, pineapple)
• Beans (refried, baked, pinto, kidney, black)
• Peanut butter and other nut butters (in plastic)
• Evaporated or condensed milk
• Baby food and formula, juice boxes

Dry:  1-2 lb. packages:

• Pasta (including Mac & Cheese)
• Rice
• Beans (pinto, kidney, black, red)
• Lentils/Split peas
• Fruit & nuts (raisins, cranberries, trail mix)
• Mixes (pancake, bread, muffin)
• Flour
• Granulated sugar
• Salt or salt substitute

In the United States, Cinco de Mayo is sometimes mistaken to be Mexico’s Independence Day— it isn’t.    That national holiday in Mexico is celebrated on September 16.    But Cinco de Mayo is easier to say than Dieciséis de septiembre.     🙂
